VACCINATION UPDATE

Yesterday East Rochester participated on a municipal call with Monroe County Executive Bello and Dr. Michael Mendoza. We learned that it is unknown at this time when seniors will be able to get the Covid-19 vaccination. In preparation for that day we have offered a location here in East Rochester to Monroe County. The County will need that identified location when the supply is sufficient for mass distribution. Currently all Fire Department staff and funeral home employees are receiving vaccinations this week from Monroe County. No vaccination dates have been released for our Police Department or the Department of Public Works. Nursing Homes and similar care facilities are covered under Federal vaccinations which are currently being administered through Walgreens & CVS. As soon as more information is made available we will share it with all residents.
