3/25/2009 - Update

By the end of this week they will have completed the 24'' main line pipe installation with all residents tied into the new sanitary sewer main.  All water services have also been removed from the abandoned 6'' water main and tied into the 12'' water main.  Remaining work is manhole adjustments, fire hydrant relocations, catch basin relocations and minor storm sewer tie ins, followed by blacktopping the excavation area and finally lawn restoration.  All work is expected to be completed by the end of April.  The project is well ahead of schedule and so far appears to be under budget.

6/29/2009 - Update

All underground utility work related to this project has been successfully completed under budget. With the money saved from this project, the Village Board has decided to use this money to install granite curbing on the South side of the 100 and 200 blocks of East Maple and repave the entire length of these streets. All curbing has been installed and all areas have been restored. The street has been paved with a binder course of blacktop. The final top coat of blacktop will be installed by the end of the summer after the Monroe County Water Authority performs maintenance work on their water main. When completed, both blocks of East Maple Avenue will have a new fully restored roadway and underground utilites.
