Important Information from the Assessor’s Office in 2009

Under NY State law, East Rochester is required to maintain an equal assessment to market value ratio. In other words, the Assessor’s Office must assess property based on its likely sale price. It is the fairest, most equitable method of property assessing and East Rochester began assessing annually in 2000.

Some important facts and dates to know regarding your assessment for 2009 follow:

  • ¨We will be reassessing town wide for the 2009 assessment roll.
