East Rochester Area Military Veterans

The East Rochester Alumni Foundation will be adding a Veteran’s Page to its website (erschools.org/alumni.cfm) on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2017.   The purpose of this page will be to honor and thank current and former area residents who chose to serve and protect our country as members of one of our country’s Armed Services. This page will be updated regularly and will become a permanent part of our website.

20th Annual Karknocker 5K Race & Walk

20th Annual Karknocker 5K Race & Walk

July 28th, 7:00 pm. 20th Annual event, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce for the benefit of the Finger Lakes Regional Burn Association, is open to the public. The 5K Race and Walk will travel through the Town/Village on a USATF certified course. Prize money and medals will be awarded.

Monroe County, Perinton, Pittsford and E. Rochester to host Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Monroe County Department of Environmental Services (DES) and the towns of Perinton and Pittsford and the villages of East Rochester, Fairport and Pittsford have joined forces to hold an appointment-only Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection at the Perinton Highway Garage, 100 Cobb's Lane, on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

2017 Conservation Tree and Shrub Program Launched

Winter has arrived and spring will be here before you know it! In preparation, the Monroe County Soil and Water Conservation District has released their Conservation Tree and Shrub species list for the spring of 2017.

This year, property owners will have the opportunity to pre-order more than 42 different species of bare-root conifers, hardwood trees, shrubs, wildflowers and groundcovers, as well as seed mixes and other products used for conservation projects.

All winning properties will be photographed and used in an article thanking Salvatore's and our many sponsors. We will also highlight all the dollars raised to provide scholarships to our young people.
