For the first time ever in the Rochester area, the Upstate New York’s top pinball players will compete for the title of Upstate New York State Pinball Champion.
Who: The top 16 pinball players from across New York, New Jersey, and Canada as determined by tournament play throughout 2017 in Upstate New York. Western NY Pinball, the local organization for pinball players and enthusiasts, will host the event.

What: After a year of competition, with more than 70 tournaments and leagues in Upstate New York, and nearly 1000 players putting their flipper skills and endurance to the test, it will all come down to a single day for these top pinball players to compete for Upstate NY Champion. East Rochester will host the IFPA New York State Pinball Championship for the first time ever. This is the third year of the championship series, and all previous championship events have been held in other locations throughout New York. The tournament will be broadcast live on the Slam Tilt Podcast Twitch channel, at www.twitch.tv/slamtiltpodcast.
Why: The resurgence in pinball has captured the fascination and attention of people of all ages throughout the United States and around the world, with more than 56,000 IFPA-ranked players and more than 4,800 different events and competitions held annually. Western NY Pinball celebrates all things pinball in the Rochester area. Established in 2014, the goal of WNY Pinball is to bring together all levels of pinball aficionados, from the casual player, to the collector, to those crazy enough to drive hours away to compete in tournaments.
